Best way to get rid of PCOD problems using herbal remedies

PCOD Problems

Polycystic ovary Disease: Abbreviated PCOD. Polycystic ovary Disease is a condition in women characterized by irregular or no menstrual periods, acne, obesity, and excess hair growth. It is a disorder of chronically abnormal ovarian function and hyperandrogenism (abnormally elevated androgen levels). these PCOD Problems affects 5-10% of women of reproductive age. PCOD is also called Stein-Leventhal syndrome.

The cause of PCOD is still unknown. Women with the disease characteristically contain a large number of small cysts in the ovary. Hence, the name polycystic ovary. The other names are polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), polycystic ovarian disease or POD.

Women with PCOD do not release an egg every month and they are at significantly higher risk for high blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease, and cancer of the uterus (endometrial cancer).

The diabetic medications that are designed to improve the action of the hormone insulin may benefit women with PCOD. A surgery called “wedge resection” in which a piece of the ovary is removed also helps some women with PCOD Problems.

But there are also some herbal remedies also which can help get rid of PCOD. Some of them are listed below…

  • Have healthy protein and healthy fat at breakfast.

Try to eat breakfast within 30 minutes of waking up to help keep blood sugar steady and keep you feeling full until lunch. Eggs and avocado make a good combo. Consider adding some leafy greens or other veggies so your plate is brimming with inflammation-fighting phytonutrients.

A Harvard study showed that women improved their chances of fertility when they got more of their protein from vegetable sources than animal sources. But you can take eggs. They appear to be the exception to the rule when it comes to animal protein.

  •     Patch up nutrient deficiencies.

Micronutrient support is critical for women with PCOD. Our bodies need the B vitamins that can help with mood and progesterone production; the liver support that helps detox estrogen; the magnesium that helps balance the production of progesterone, estrogen and testosterone; the probiotics that help heal the gut; and vitamins D, K1, and K2 to support healthy immune function and regular ovulation. You can find all these supplements together in the Balance Supplement Kit I created specifically to bring hormones back into balance.

  •      Be strategic with calories

Food eating timing can have a big impact on glucose, insulin and testosterone levels. Lowering insulin could potentially help with infertility issues. Women who ate the majority of their daily calories at breakfast for 12 weeks significantly improved their insulin and glucose levels as well as decreased their testosterone levels by 50 percent, compared to women who consumed their largest meals at dinnertime. The effective diet consisted of a 980-calorie breakfast, a 640-calorie lunch, and a 190-calorie dinner.

  •       Ditch caffeine

Caffeine is a catastrophe for your hormones. Numerous studies link caffeine with impaired fertility (which is a hallmark of PCOD) and general hormonal discord that it’s hard to keep up with them all. Here’s just a few: research shows that drinking 3 cups of coffee a day (consumed by either men or women) increases the risk of miscarriage by 74%. Coffee is considered equal to drinking alcohol and smoking in terms of impairing fertility. And coffee depletes the B vitamins that are so necessary for healthy ovulation and hormone balance.

  •      Tiptoe around toxins (and try to avoid them altogether)

Many of the everyday chemicals we’re exposed to through cleaning products, conventional health, and body care products, lawn care products, and household pesticides are endocrine disruptors and are known to have negative reproductive, neurological, and immune system effects. The Environmental Working Group lists 12 of the worst endocrine offenders. Read labels on cleaning products carefully or, better yet, make your own products with vinegar, baking soda, and essential oils. A study commissioned by the independent research group, Women’s Voices for the Earth, found that a large number of popular cleaning products contained toxic chemicals that weren’t listed on the labels.

  • Practice good sleep hygiene

Sleep affects your stress levels and helps regulate cortisol to balance your hormones. But sleep disturbances are twice as common for women with PCOD. To up your sleep hygiene:

  •  Aim for eight to ten hours of sleep per night.
  •  Establish a regular bedtime routine.
  •  Avoid stimulants and rich, fatty foods before bedtime.
